The legal entity of the Tyrolean Private University UMIT TIROL is “UMIT TIROL – Private University for Health Sciences and Technology GmbH” (short: UMIT TIROL GmbH), which is 90% owned by the federal state of Tyrol and 10% owned by University of Innsbruck.
The governing bodies of this company are the general assembly, the supervisory board, and a managing director, who simultaneously serves as the rector of UMIT TIROL University.

UMIT TIROL – The Tyrolean Private University
The highest governing bodies of the university are the Scientific Advisory Board, the Senate, and the Rectorate.
The university is divided into four departments.
Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board is responsible for the academic supervision of the Tyrolean Private University UMIT TIROL. It supports the Rectorate in its work.
