Quantitative analysis of the effect of exposure to heat and cold (as well as other climate-related phenomena) on health outcomes (e.g. mortality, hospitalization), in the larger context of climate change and health (e.g., time series analysis / case-crossover analysis on the impact of heat on hospitalization rates for mental health disorders).
2. Quantitative analyses and modelling of future impact of climate change on health outcomes, in the context of demographic changes and socio-economic adaptation to the impacts on climate change.
3. Quantitative analyses using quasi-experimental study designs (regression-discontinuity, difference-in-difference; interrupted-time series study) to evaluate the effect of public health and health policy interventions, for example – but not limited to – in the context of infectious diseases or environmental health.
