The Tyrolean Private University UMIT TIROL offers doctoral degrees in the following doctoral programmes:

- Sports Medicine, Health Tourism & Leisure Sciences (Dr. phil.)
- Technical Sciences (Dr. techn.)
One of our goals in the Dr. phil. doctoral programme is to help working professionals to acquire this qualification. For us this means providing in-depth personal guidance and good organizational support.
The doctoral thesis can be done both in German or English. While some doctoral programmes offer a larger number of English classes, the choice of English classes may be limited in other programmes. Therefore, please discuss with the head of the respective doctoral programme whether following the programme is feasable in case of limited German language skills.
